How to convert WebP to PNG

  1. Tap "Choose photos" or drop your WebP images onto the box. PNG is already chosen.
  2. Tap Convert.
  3. Download each image, or all of them as one ZIP file.

Good to know

WebP is the small picture format many websites use. Logos, icons and stickers saved from a website often come as WebP with a see-through background, and some design programs, document editors and older apps can’t open them.

PNG keeps the see-through parts and every pixel, so the picture looks exactly as it did. PNG files are bigger than WebP; for a photo where size matters, WebP to JPG makes a smaller file.

Questions

Will the transparent background stay?

Yes. PNG keeps see-through parts exactly as they were in the WebP image.

Why is the PNG bigger than the WebP?

PNG doesn’t throw any detail away, so it takes more space. The picture itself doesn’t change.

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes, as many as you like at a time, and download them together in one ZIP file.

Are my images uploaded?

No. They are converted by your browser on your device. Nothing is sent to us.
