Good to know
Make it your computer’s PDF app. First install it: in Chrome or Edge, click the install icon at the right of the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose the option to install PDF and Photo as an app. Then, on Windows, right-click any PDF, choose "Open with" and "Choose another app", pick PDF and Photo and choose "Always". On a Mac, select a PDF in Finder, choose File > Get Info, pick PDF and Photo under "Open with" and click "Change All".
Once installed and used once, it opens PDFs even without an internet connection, and every tool is one tap away.
Questions
Can it be my default PDF app on Windows or Mac?
Yes, once it is installed from Chrome or Edge. The steps are above. The first time you open a PDF this way, the browser asks you to allow it.
Can I fill in or sign the PDF?
Yes. Tap "Fill & sign" in the row of buttons above the pages, and the PDF opens there, ready to sign.
How big a PDF can it open?
Up to 50 MB, free and without an account. Free accounts, coming soon, will open PDFs of up to 100 MB.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It is opened and drawn by your browser on your device. When you pass it to another tool, it is handed over inside your browser and removed as soon as that tool opens it.
