Make a PDF bundle

Add your PDFs in order, give each one a title, and download one bundle with a contents page, a bookmark for each document and page numbers that match the PDF’s own. Your files stay on your device: nothing is uploaded.

Your files are processed on this device, and nothing is uploaded. Once the tool has finished your first file, it keeps working in airplane mode. Check it yourself

How to make a PDF bundle

  1. Tap "Choose PDF files" or drop them onto the box, then put them in order with the arrows.
  2. Check each document’s title, add a date if you like, and give the bundle its title.
  3. Choose page numbers or Bates numbers, tap the button, check the preview, then download.

Good to know

Courts and offices often ask for exactly this. The 2021 e-bundle guidance for courts in England and Wales, for example, asks for every document to be bookmarked, each contents entry to be a link, and page numbers that match the PDF’s own page numbers.

With page numbers, the contents page is page 1, so every number on a page is the same as its page number in a PDF reader. With Bates numbers, the documents’ pages get numbers such as ACME000001, and the contents lists each document’s numbers.

Each document keeps its own bookmarks (under its new one), its links and its form fields.

Bundles of up to 3 documents are free. Plus and Enterprise make bundles of any size.

Questions

Do the page numbers match the PDF?

Yes. The contents page is page 1, and every page’s number is the same as its page number in a PDF reader.

Can I use Bates numbers instead?

Yes. Choose Bates numbers and set the text before the number, the first number and the digits, for example ACME000001. The contents page then lists each document’s Bates numbers.

Can I leave out the contents page?

Yes. Untick it, and the bundle still has a bookmark for each document.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The bundle is made by your browser on your device.
