In short: the files you use with our tools never leave your device. We don’t receive them, store them or see them.
Your files
Every tool on this site processes files inside your web browser, on your own phone or computer. Files you add are not uploaded to our servers or to anyone else. When you close the page, they are gone from the page’s memory.
What is kept on your device
Some tools keep a little information in your own browser, on your device, so they are quicker to use. It is not sent to us.
- Invoice and quote makers: your business details, logo, notes and payment details (a payment link, UPI ID or bank account number, if you add them), and the invoice or quote you’re working on, including your customer’s name and address and the items. They stay until you tap “Forget my details on this device”, which clears both makers and your repeat invoices.
- Repeat invoices: if you set an invoice to repeat, its customer, items, how often it repeats and which dates have been made are kept, together with the last invoice number used, so the invoice maker can show the next one when it is due. While you change a repeat invoice, the invoice you were working on is put aside here too. Clearing your browser data removes them. “Back up my invoice details” saves all of this in a file on your device, which you keep; we never receive it.
- PDF and photo metadata check: only if you tick the boxes for it, a known-good file’s program names, how it is built, its font names and its pictures’ fingerprints (codes worked out from the file, not the file itself), and for each file you check, its name, fingerprints, author, creation time and pictures’ fingerprints. They are used to compare later files with them on this device, and stay until you tap “Forget” in the tool or clear your browser data.
- PDF viewer: when you pass a PDF to another tool, it is held in your browser’s storage until that tool opens it, or until you pass on another PDF.
- The site’s program files are kept by your browser after your first visit, so the tools open faster and work offline. They hold nothing of yours.
How the site keeps files on your device is explained in detail on our security page.
What our website records
- Server logs. Like most websites, the server that delivers our pages keeps standard technical logs: your IP address (the number that identifies your internet connection), browser type, the page requested, the page you came from and the time. We use them to keep the site running and secure, and to count visits: how many people visit, which pages they open, roughly which countries they are in, where they came from (for example, a search engine) and which visits were search engines’ robots. The logs are kept on our server for these statistics. They never include your files, and we don’t share or sell them.
- Visitor statistics and ads. This version of the site uses no visitor-statistics tools (analytics), no advertising and no cookies (small files websites store in your browser). If we add any of them, this page will say so first, and visitors in Europe, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent.
Accounts and paid plans
Free accounts and paid plans are opening soon. When they do:
- Payments: orders and payments are handled by our online reseller Paddle.com, the merchant of record. Paddle collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.
- What Paddle tells us: your email address, your country, your plan and whether your subscription is active, so we can give you the plan you paid for.
- Your account: we keep your email address, your plan and counts of what you’ve used this month (for example, how many e-signatures you’ve sent by link). Never your files. We use this only to provide your plan, which is the agreement between us.
- How long: while your account is open. When you close it, we delete your account details, except records the law requires us or Paddle to keep, such as tax records.
If you email us
If you contact us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, where it applies, Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
